The famous flying Scotsman stops here! The Flying Scotsman completed the first non-stop London to Edinburgh run on May 1st 1928 – 392 miles in 8 ¼ hours. In 1934 it became the first steam locomotive to record a fully authenticated speed of 100 miles per hour. This historic locomotive was acquired by the National Railway Museum, Yor, UK in 2004 and forms part of the National Collection. The railway station is often at the heart of every city. By changing the sign at the Speaking Railway Station, your child can travel to London, and make imaginary stops in Paris, Berlin and New York.
